Purpose of this role
Construction Sector Transformation & Client Delivery Innovation.
At McKeon Group and Hereworks, we are setting out to fundamentally change how construction is designed, delivered and experienced. Our ambition is to create a truly digital-first approach to construction, one that enhances the client experience at every stage, simplifies operations for project teams and ensures the long-term performance of the environments we build. Moving away from the traditional view of Construction being finished on First Day of Business (FDOB) and rather considering the full Lifecycle of the building from Design to Last Day of Business (LDOB).
This vision includes fully utilising BIM modelling with every stakeholder, design team member and subcontractor and ultimately handing over and maintaining a useful and meaningful model/twin of the building to the teams who will operate and use the building.
As Head of Digital Construction & Innovation, you will lead the development and rollout of a robust digital construction function that brings together BIM, VDC, and integrated modelling frameworks into one clear strategy. Your remit is to embed these digital processes into the heart of project delivery and not as an overlay, but as a smarter, more collaborative way to build.
This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who understands both the technology and the reality of construction sites and someone who can bring structure, influence, and energy to a fast-evolving part of our business. You’ll be key to making digital delivery a competitive advantage for McKeon Group and Hereworks.

- Standardise the use of BIM, VDC and model coordination across major projects – driving clarity, accuracy and better collaboration
- Improve client experience through better visibility, real-time reporting and well-structured handover models
- Ensure digital tools are fully embedded in the construction process, supporting site teams and subcontractors from day one.
- Ensure the models used are useful for the end user of the building, considering how we improve the Human Experience for those who build, operate and utilise the building once complete
- Strengthen McKeon Group’s reputation as a progressive, digitally enabled construction partner
- Identify and trial innovations where they add tangible value to delivery and long-term performance
- Collaborate across both McKeon Group and Hereworks to drive better outcomes for clients
