We have a number of exciting projects due to start in the coming months and we are seeking a Setting Out Engineer to join our team.

Practicalities

Salary: DOE
Location: Site Based, Dublin 6
Immediate Start Required.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Checking drawings, specifications & plans
  • Setting out reinforced concrete & steel frame buildings, piling, drainage, groundworks etc.
  • Supervising subcontractors & monitoring Health and Safety
  • Reporting to Site Manager or Senior Engineer on Site and liaising with subcontractors and other engineers and general workforce involved in the project
  • Dealing with technical queries where relevant
  • Quality Checks and Control
  • Site record Keeping
  • General Administration Duties
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

  • Third level degree qualified in Engineering / Related Discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years setting out experience
  • Experience using Robotic Total Stations and Level
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Digital Construction and IT Skills with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Should have the ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • Should be honest, flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking
